A Bit About Me
I got into fitness because I didn’t like the way I felt in my body. My teenage and college years were spent in a vicious cycle of gaining weight, losing it, and starting over again and again.
But finally, something clicked. The nutrition course I'd been taking inspired me to take real action, and to "own the grind" (put in the work) in my own health journey. I researched a ton, and learned to not trust random advice I saw on the internet. And, after a few years of learning and putting the information to good use, I truly feel that I've made real change in my own habits.
That’s why I coach. Not because I have everything figured out, but because I know what it’s like to be in the middle of that cycle. I want to help people who feel the way I did: stuck, frustrated, and unsure who to trust when it comes to weight loss.
I’m Not Perfect, but That's the Point.
It may surprise you to learn that I still occasionally struggle with food choices or skipping workouts. Everybody does, and I think that's important to admit. I will never expect 100% perfection from you. However, building good habits does fundamentally change the way you view your health, and I hope that I can help you stick with it as much as possible.
Life Gets Busy
My wife and I both worked two jobs for almost a year. Safe to say, there never seemed to be enough time in the day for chopping vegetables or grilling chicken (we ended up with lots of microwave lasagna). Whether you're working multiple jobs like we were—or starting a business, raising children, going to school, etc.—I understand the toll that these things can take on you.
I actually started all this for people like you. That stressful time in my life allowed me to find quick and easy meals and snacks to help us eat healthily with minimal stress. I hope to help you in this as well!
Fake News
If you've ever gotten diet advice from TikTok, then you'll know what I'm talking about. A lot of people try to simplify healthy eating into "avoid bread" or "never have dessert." Not only are these things inaccurate, they're no fun.
There is a science behind nutrition, and it's something I understand very well. You can turn your life around without completely cutting the things you love. I am really looking forward to sharing these things with you, and helping you to build sustainable habits!
What Makes My Coaching Different
-
I don’t expect you to be perfect (because I'm not either)
-
I’ll teach you the why behind nutrition, not just give you a list of foods to eat or avoid.
-
I believe in sustainable, realistic change
Progress isn't always linear. I'm sure you've had successes and setbacks just like I've had, and I'm here to work through those with you.
Understanding how your body works gives you real power. My goal is to break down nutrition science into something clear and easy-to-understand.
We're not about crazy restriction here. Your goals are attainable, and we will figure out a process that suits your circumstances.
